Becoming a Substitute

Thank you for your consideration of filling a substitute position at the School District of Jefferson.  Staff are our most valuable resource, whether they are permanent or substitutes.  Your time spent here is an investment in our students and we appreciate your time.

Below you will find the steps to complete in order to be added to our District Wide Substitute List & AESOP(Frontline Absence Management System.)

Substitute Application Process:

  1. Print, from website or pick up, Substitute Application Form from District Office.

  2. Print, from website or pick up, I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification  Form from District Office.

  3. Complete the Mandatory Child Abuse/Neglect Training, print certificate. 

  4. Bring Drivers license and Social Security card to District Office(to have copies made) & submit completed Substitute Application, I-9 Form & Child Abuse/Neglect Training certificate.

  5. Obtain Payroll Forms from District Office or print from website.

  6. Return payroll forms to the office of the school that you first start at.



Upon completion of a background check you will be notified by email welcoming you to the District and giving you further instructions.  (Please check spam email folders for an email from Frontline Absence Management System.)
