Principal's Welcome

Welcome to our website!  My name is Nick Skretta and I am the principal at Sullivan Elementary School.  I have served the School District of Jefferson since 2005 and am a proud graduate of Jefferson High School.

One of three elementary schools in the School District of Jefferson, Sullivan Elementary School is located in the community-centered town of Sullivan.  It is nestled between a beautiful park and a peaceful wildlife habitat.  Only six miles from I-94, Sullivan Elementary is closely adjacent to Lake Country, Oconomowoc, and Kettle Moraine.

Sullivan Elementary School houses a Jefferson County Head Start Location along with four-year-old kindergarten through fifth grade.  We serve approximately 170 students and their families.  Our students, staff, and families are proud of our “little learning community doing BIG things.”  That pride is evident in Sullivan Elementary’s long history of outstanding student achievement. Please view our WI DPI School Report Card for more information.

Students receive high-quality core literacy and math instruction that is comprehensive, research-driven and evidence-based at Sullivan Elementary School.  In addition, our students benefit from a daily dedicated thirty-minute WIN (intervention and enrichment) time where students receive data-informed high-quality targeted interventions or enrichments to ensure growth and achievement.

Our learning community is committed to utilizing PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) to maximize our school’s ability to teach and support positive behavior for all of our students. We focus on three key expectations: “Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Ready” to maintain a safe learning environment where teachers can teach and students can learn.  Our students consistently exceed expectations, earning rewards and recognition for positive behaviors.
