If you forgot your username:

Click Forgot Username or Password below the login fields. Click the 'Forgot Username?' tab. You only need to enter your email address, and if a matching account exists, an email will be sent with your username.

If you forgot your password but know the username and email address associated with your account:

Click Forgot Username or Password below the login fields.  Click the 'Forgot Password?' tab. Enter your username and email address. If a match exists, an email will be sent from PowerSchool with instructions to reset your password.

If you cannot remember the email address associated with your account or are not receiving the emails:

Our Administrative Assistant team is able to lookup your username and reset your PowerSchool Parent Portal password if needed.

Please be aware that the parent portal, registration portal, and efunds have different login accounts.

If your child previously attended our district or another district that also uses PowerSchool Enrollment, or you have other children in the District, you should already have an account and will log in using your existing credentials.

The SDOJ School Board approved to eliminate general registration fees (for 2026-27 school year). All outstanding, course, and optional (athletics, band, parking pass, etc.) fees must still be paid*. High school course fees will be billed two weeks into each semester.

We encourage our families to make payments online through efunds in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not currently have an account please contact your child's school and ask for your child's student ID number to create an account. Payments in the form of a check can also be mailed directly to your child's school.

*It is important to note that all outstanding fees are due at the time of registration. All unpaid fees will carry forward each year that your student is enrolled with our District.  It is important that these fees are paid to avoid significant late fee charges to your student's account. The District has the ability to process credit card, debit card and ACH payments through our online processing system or collect cash/check payments.

Elementary students may be assigned to the building which serves the area in which they live. The boundaries of the elementary schools shall be:

• West Elementary: Students residing west of the Rock River
• East Elementary: Students residing east of the Rock River and west of Paradise Road (south of Highway 18) and west of or on Coffee Road (north of Highway 18)
• Sullivan Elementary: Students residing east of or on Paradise Road (south of Highway 18) and east of Coffee Road (north of Highway 18)

Intra-District Transfer Requests

A parent(s)/guardian(s) may request that his/her/their child be allowed to attend a school outside the student’s elementary school attendance area for an upcoming school year. Approval of said request will be made by the Superintendent in consultation with the building principal(s). A response to all written requests will take place within a timely fashion. Within 30 days of receipt of response from Superintendent, a parent/guardian may submit a written request to appeal said response to the Board of Education.

To attend a district other than the one in which you reside, you must apply for open enrollment. Please see our Open Enrollment page for more information and links to applications. 

If your student already attends the School District of Jefferson via an approved open enrollment application, you do not need to reapply each year. As long as the student continues to attend each year consecutively without a break in enrollment, the approved application will continue to allow your child to attend via open enrollment. If you have an additional student that will be new to the district, you will need to complete an application for that student.

Online payments can be made via My School Bucks or you may send/bring cash or checks to the school.
