The School District of Jefferson School Board is comprised of seven members, elected to staggered three-year terms in annual elections held the first Tuesday in April. See the Board Candidate Info Page for more information about the next election.

School Board seats are apportioned from areas throughout the district. Areas of representation include:

• one (1) elector from Area 1 (the City of Jefferson);
• one (1) elector from Area 2 (the Townships of Aztalan, Farmington, Hebron, Jefferson and Oakland);
• one (1) elector from Area 3 (the Townships of Concord, Sullivan, and the Village of Sullivan);
• and four (4) electors from Area 4 (at-large/any portion of the School District).
