Strong Schools = Strong Communities and vice versa. We would like our community stakeholders to take part in shaping the future of our district!
As you likely know, a majority of voters in the School District of Jefferson did not support the referendum in April 2024 that would have provided the funds needed to maintain current programs and services. While we acknowledge and respect the community’s decision, this outcome means that the District must now make budgetary cuts. In the Spring of 2024 we asked for the community's help as we determine the next steps for the District over the long term as well as to understand what we are doing well and where we need to improve. Results of the Community Survey are below.

This feedback is being used as a guide us as we update the District’s 2024-2029 Strategic Plan on August 5th with community members and leaders, staff members, parents, students, business owners and any other stakeholder in our community.
The strategic planning committee's purpose is to develop a plan to provide guidance for the annual development of milestones that align with the four core strategies and key performance objectives and meet the District’s mission, vision, and belief statements for student learning. The Community Survey results will help guide the committee's focus. Here is a link to more information about the plan and process: www.sdoj.org/district/strategic-plan.cfm
