Redefining Ready! is a national initiative launched by the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) to introduce new research-based metrics to more appropriately assess that students are college-ready, career-ready, and life-ready.
Wisconsin Redefining Ready (WiRR) School Districts tell their story in a more complete manner than via a State Report Card or other required vehicles. The WiRR dashboard tells a story about a School District’s effort to prepare graduates to be College and Career Ready. Using the AASA’s research-based College and Career Indicators, the WiRR Scorecard is produced annually with School Districts using the various indicators to drive school improvement, align efforts to Academic and Career Planning, and to celebrate success.
The School District of Jefferson's readiness indicators include metrics from Advanced Placement courses, early college credits, attendance, career-based experiences, and more. These indicators more accurately reflect the educational landscape of the 21st Century.
At SDoJ we strive to ensure all students graduate future-ready based on their individual post-secondary path. By utilizing Redefining Ready targets, we measure our overall future-ready teaching and learning system to develop strategic plans of improvement and create additional opportunities for students.
